You might also want to check out the Devuan derivatives.  Some of them have a very small footprint.

All humans suffer from the "metal illnesses" of greed, hated and delusion.  IMO, there is no need to tiptoe around that. It is irrelevant that deluded Western "therapists" just have to assign a name and acronym for every quirk on the gamut when they themselves are equally "defective", each in their own way.  The naming only excuses certain behavior. Would be nice if we could own and remove our own defects rather than pointing the finger elsewhere. All available isos are described at https://www.devuan.org/get-devuan  The two you mentioned are quite different:

desktop-live (1.2 GB): Explore the default Xfce desktop before installing. Then install easily and quickly from the live session using the refractainstaller. Firmware is installed but can easily be removed.

minimal-live (~460 MB): A full-featured, console-based recovery tool with a focus on accessibility for visually-impaired and blind users. Uses the refractainstaller.

Welcome to Devuan and thank you for your offer to improve Devuan's language accessibility. Translations were discussed internally several years ago when several "official" and a few unofficial translations popped up. Eventually all those efforts disappeared.  Why?  The problem with human translation is that the site is not static and to keep on top of the changes requires constant attention.  That being said, perhaps it's time for Devuan to revisit the possibility of providing translations.

Your assessment is correct.  We are Debian without systemd.  If someone wants to port, package and maintain MythTV, it could reside in our git but unlikely to become part of our main distribution.
