Hello,
I search for devuan over Google, regularly with search, and it comes that on all found search, we end to DEBIAN.
Is devuan dead, actually? I believe that not.
Why google does not return devuan, like it should... strange.
best regards

I just did a quick search for "devuan" in google and all the hits on the first page were directly related to devuan not debian.
As a matter of fact, I see this as a direct improvement over the past as usually it will have a line just under the search entry stating somethine like, "Did you mean debian?" And even this did not show. This means to me that google is allowing for a greater divergence between the two.
Not disagreeing with you, just reporting what I see on google where I am at.

Check your settings. There should be options regarding the predictive paramaters that best suit you. And while you say "Google" I hope you aren't using that directly. Both DuckDuckGo and StartPage neuter some of the more egregious aspects of unfiltered Google searches.

In your Google search, put the word "Devuan" in quote marks.

Same here.
What economists call over-production is but a production that is above the purchasing power of the worker, who is reduced to poverty by capital and state.

That too. There are quite a few "operators" but recently seem to be ignored at times. Google just wants to feed me what they think I should see. It's frustrating.

Search for an exact match
Put a word or phrase inside quotes. For example, "tallest building".
I've tried that many times, and it never seems to work. At this point, I'd be happy to know how to get google to return hits that contain my search terms.

I have good luck with Google Verbatim. At the search page top press Tools button, change All Results to Verbatim.
From what I understand, the results must contain all the search words (an "AND").

I don't imagine many on this forum use google directly and I have never seen verbatim on DDG or SP.

"verbatim" is a Google search option, on their search page. Didint mean to imply a general search option. Excuse my lack of clarification.

Just some info- duckduckgo uses Microsoft Bing api as its search. Thus its results are more similar to Bing, as opposed to Google.

I use duckduckgo, but with its !g option, to force it to use Google as its search, as in:
!g "devuan"
Don't put multiple words inside the quote marks, unless you're searching for that exact phrase.
So, instead of
lg "devuan printer" (the exact phrase)
I would search on DDG for:
lg "devuan" "printer" (DDG will use Google to find results that contain both individual words)

Yes, the OP is trapped in the Big G's filter bubble and should use a different engine.
Also, the interweb is broken. But we knew that.
