Camtaf clearly states, isn't it.
Even have the most important component, the Power Supply Unit, under control.
Moving data down the mains is easy peasy.
The Chinese are good at sending images by shortwave radio, bouncing off the atmosphere around the world.

I havn't used synaptics for time, use libinput, which is getting recommended these days.
And if you are a karagkiozhs, use gboard in Android.

#152 Re: Other Issues » [SOLVED] Locate cannot search for files with brackets? » 2022-11-03 02:50:03

very intersting indeed
I just tried it and mlocate too, same
why locate is not tremendously popular is beyond me
I think the original find command is maybe your only hope
I have patiently learned some find command, I do think it does take some application of concentration but I found it to be straightforward when I tried
I wish you the very best, it's a fine endeavour

So will anybody do us all the courtesy and have something to say about Tims certainly not small words, and my security concerns.

#155 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-03 02:12:25

golinux your last comment was wrong and out of order

what about my initial security questions,
can government/corporation lift data that is in memory, what I said password CVC code
I wish I was in the company of my friend the best doctor of nanotechnology on the planet
anybody got any ideas, is my hit airplane mode before typing password clever,
golinux your no doubt excellent admin brain is these questions are not your section but I am precisely here because there is a rare mix of wonderful minds here.
You degrade yourself to insult me.

#156 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-03 02:05:15

I hear and appreciate what you say golinux
I have contributed to an apparmor post today, and also took the effort to big up Beaver editor.
I am a veteran photojournalist who lives moving too fast or dug in too deep and this time I am giving now I don't always have.
This post did start with Tim Berners-Lee recently saying the web has ended up producing a large-scale emergent phenomenon which is anti-human.
Christ on the crapper.

#157 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-03 01:59:29

that's called rhetoriki
hey, I'm no philosopher, all philosophy is propaganda!

#158 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-03 01:58:10

Rishi and Suella and Jeremy did philosophy, politics, economics
If you said to about 97% of Greeks, ksero den ksero, I know I not now (NOT, I know I don't know,) those 97% would reply Socrates.
What if I said in English, not in Greek, I know I not know, to them 3.
Then Socrates says the second words out of his mouth (which are the same as the first.)
We have all the questions, and none of the answers, and all the answers that are provided for us are bullshit.

summary of whole of programming,
creating, storing and moving of data
input and output of data
making decisions
repeating instructions

I just sent a file from a telephone to a website to download and install on this box because the monkey phone will modify a card I put in it

There's some precise studies done on this, you will find on the web without much difficulty,
in Greece they just throw grapes with their yeasty sheen in a barrel (olives cured just in sea water,) there's that Belgian beer brand (they just let the air in through the windows,)
I lived on the island of Ikaria (Greece,) a few times, met this old Israeli bloke telling me the cannaboids is in the DNA code (and we synthesise these hydrocarbons ourselves.)
I make nettle beer hop same cannaboid species, I make a strong nettle tea in a casserole pot, cool it, toss in some sugar or whatever bit of any yeast little squeeze of gif lemon, and wait.
volume is 7 parts water to 1 part whatever, oranges, anything, innmates are perhaps the best at it.
alcohol is a totally arabic word.
they discovered a dig out there recently making like half a million pints a week or something.
Muslims can drink but not the brew of the 'enemy.'
About middle-ages the monks on these isles were making beer as strong as the strongest wine (that's Samos, next to Ikaria, 16%,) the monks here's personal was 10 pints a day.
How did them pyramids get built, meat, milk, beer, perhaps a bit of room for some bread and onions.
Control.
As for the mushrooms I think Romania Transylvania is premium.
I like three pints and half a bottle of wine, and five cigarettes a day (not whacky,) reduces the internal pressure in my left eye which is crushing the optic nerve because the sneaky WMD mechanism knackers the eye drain mechanism.
Perhaps the best tonic for the nervous system is a sedative in lettuce, there's a Jew sect in Kurdistan don't eat it because of their choice.
Our bodies make stuff.

I've been logged out a minute,
I'm logged in on alt f2 as user, and startx, and open a terminal and type /usr/local/bin/beaver and hit enter and beaver opens.
Now I will think about DNA for a minute.
I think Steven Hawking said for millions of years we lived just like the animals and then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination, we learned to talk.
I will think a minute.

#163 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » How disable apparmor? » 2022-11-03 00:50:11

I think this is the defacto or only way to do this;
I just done the above and could not startx from user, I forgot,
install xserver-xorg-legacy (provides suid root wrapper;)
then edit
/etc/X11/Xwrapper.config
allowed_users=anybody
needs_root_rights=yes

#164 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » How disable apparmor? » 2022-11-03 00:18:55

One more thing,
I don't have apparmor on my box and it ain't broke at all whatsoever.
I also dpkg --force-all -P elogind libelogind0 libpam-elogind libpolkit-agent-1-0 libpolkit-gobject-1-0 libpolkit-gobject-elogind-1-0 policykit-1 policykit-1-gnome
and then I apt-get download or dpkg -i libsystemd0
and it ain't broke at all whatsoever.
Did it today, Chimaera clean install, updates, security & updates & main, & kernel.
Previously I have played around with a live that I have made with refractasnapshot-base.
So I made a minimal console live, then on that live I put xserver-xorg-core etc which pulls in elogind etc. which I have purged and put libsystemd0 and checked apt-get and no problems at all.
I then put full-fat browser on which pulled in elogind again and I purged it again and browser quite fine.
I'm not saying what I do is correct but if supremely strict apt-get doesn't reply with a headache that's good.
Thank you.
I think apparmor and elogind are in the same barrel.

#165 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » How disable apparmor? » 2022-11-02 23:55:29

purge uninstall it
dpkg -P apparmor
I go no complaints at all whatsoever.
And copied the apparmor deb off the install media to my /root, so I got it at hand.
I today installed Chimaera minimal and kept apparmor on it and did a refractasnapshot-base live and put xserver-xorg-core on that.
I may have installed libapparmor1 for something, been busy.
Try it.

It's not come up in my Ice Window Manager menu, it's /usr/local/bin/beaver

#167 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 23:29:44

I shall logout a minute and drop out of user X and go to root alt f1 and install and come back

#168 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 23:23:44

In my telephone I've just tarballed in jackpal Terminal (apk 551K,) Beaver editor (127K,) and put it on my website.
To untar; tar -xvf
The dot deb is certainly hard come by.
https://beaver-editor.sourceforge.net
http andyp67 dot co dot uk slash beaver_0.4.1-1_amd64.deb.tar
needs libgtk2.0-0

I use Refind on a flash drive, I think Rod rodsbooks dot com is a total genius, no competition at all, I think Grub is a massively totally insane supreme ultimate security joke.

#171 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 22:40:51

To think that we'll be extinct is naive, it is possible of course.
I mean we've been mainstream humans for 15 to 60 million years, I'd put maverick and vanguard optimum self-sufficiency types much much much longer time, and what with stupidity (the prevailing force in the universe,) and unrequited burning desire, it's taken us that long to make a flashlight.
We have a long way to go.
I think that being forced to eat rotten food (i.e., narcotics in quantum greater quantities,) because we were starving from being slotted by asteroids and comets and meteors,  metamorphosised the primate to the human stage.

#172 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 22:14:19

Lately I think that I see people, possessed by society, totally addicted to their phones. I know that control is an illusion of course. Zombie Holocaust. Very very frightening to anybody and that includes anybody profoundly experienced in the profession of violence.

#173 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 22:06:52

The first time I had a digital camera in my hands was in 1989, In a Magnum branch office in London. It was R&D from Japan, not a breeze block, same size as a Leica, I'm not kidding.
At that time we were using film and chemicals and fax scanner and satellite in a suitcase which cost about 50,000 bucks.
In 1998 I purchased a Toshiba off Ebay for 200 quid, put Red Hat 6 on it, 15 quid second-hand Motorola off Ebay, cdc-acm gprs modem.
Hard work, didn't have computers when I went to school. First time.

#174 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 21:48:03

golinux, 0 seconds 0 life, life is short and any time you get is luck, I think you do most well to not have a working cell phone.
I like very very much indeed that you say that the web magnifies the reality, greed.
A friend said to me the world is so corrupt you don't know who to bribe.
Assassinations was my reply.
Apocalypse now, Kurtz, Willard, are you an assassin, I'm a soldier, you're neither, you're an errand boy, working for grocery clerks, here to collect the bill.
God makes you mad before God destroys you.
I know this is not a theology forum.
Thank you for participating in helping me yesterday, today Chimaera clean install, zero problems, absolutely perfect.

#175 Re: Off-topic » We all aware the interweb is problematic, deranged, imbalanced. » 2022-11-02 21:29:17

Having said that, this exchange is positive and constructive and social and healthy and relaxing which is good for the nervous system.
