I followed through the entire thing, enabling early kms, and even recompiling my kernel, but i still can't get the logo showing up
On a side note, Sidney is very cute )

Early KMS must be disabled for the logo to show; ewaller was just noting that this is suboptimal for Intel graphics.

I think you might be able to do it here: /etc/grub.d/
Or you could switch it out here /usr/share/desktop-base . . . that's where I put them to test the default desktop theme when I'm working on it.
