Hello. No, it's not for this reason. I've been planning this migration for a long time.  When the twelfth version of FreeBsd came out, i made the final decision.

I will definitely visit here and watch the evolution of the project, because this project is what Debian was supposed to be.

Re: Show your desktop (rebooted)

A Devuan inspired JWM Net install. Ive used elements from Manjaro Community JWM edition, Numix Icons + Colored Numix-Folders, Bunsenlabs GTK2/3 widget theme that is based on the Greybird theme with Purple Coloring and Devuan Linux with a little bit of my own tinkering and theming. Hope you like it, i think it is a good mix and would be a cool community spin if i was able to figure that out one day.

Openbox on FreeBSD using the tint2 panel and PMenu as a pipe menu for a dynamic applications menu (similar to openbox-menu). It also comes with a Start Menu that you can add to the panel if you wish. It looks similar to the LXPanel's menu style.

Thank you catprints. Looking back over the past year of toying with it...to be honest, it took me a few "installs" before I ever got it right. I swore off the BSDs at one point! LOLOLOL!!! tongue  I went through a couple of different install methods before realizing the second method worked best in my situation. Went through a lot of frustration on the first couple of installs due to not getting things right. tongue  I felt like I had overcome the world when I was finally able to get my Headphone jack to work correctly! LOLOLOL!!! big_smile  I had better luck with OpenBSD off the bat, but I couldn't figure out how to multi-boot it. tongue  ...but I have been given some good advice on that of late.

Oy! This laptop will only work with 11.2 for some reason. Trying to install anything before that won't work on this laptop, and 12 won't work either...tried it the other day...strange. That's why I ultimately installed 11.2 STABLE...to get several years out of it in hope that things work better in the future. smile  Now you've got me wanting to try Xmonad... neutral wink

Re: Show your desktop (rebooted)

In the spirit of BSD-fairness, here's my OpenBSD system. I don't know if it's apparent, but I have it and FreeBSD themed similarly... tongue LOL!

Though I prefer it over FreeBSD, I don't use it too often, because the poor computer that I have it on only has one processor...and it stays pretty loud and busy with OpenBSD! LOL!

Re: Show your desktop (rebooted)

Devuan 2 (ASCII) here.

My graphical login is LightDM with webkit greeter and my own theme:
login

My desktop is XFCE with my own customizations and a mix of GTK and QT programs:
login

You can see that one of the programs says Debian instead of Devuan, it is a bug.
