Keep it going ozi!

We're working on a Dev1Voyager blog atm. An homage to the first Star Trek movie and NASA . . .

I see openbox just got uploaded to SF not long ago, will have to give that a try over the weekend. Congrats on the upgrade.

Change sources from auto.mirror.devuan.org to deb.devuan.org for ascii and beyond. auto.mirror doesn't work right in ascii.
(Ozi, you might need to use pkgmaster.devuan.org for the builds. That's the case with live-sdk and might be the same for live-build.)
Now, if I can figure out why pkexec works correctly in your xfce but not in mine, I'll be very happy.

Hi fsr
Thanks I'll change auto.mirror to deb.
I've tried pkgmaster.devuan.org a few time with mixed results.

Ozi,
Don't mean to put you on the spot, but will you be providing an updated "DIY" build?
Have your Kirk Xfce version installed on a partition and loving it!
I have been Devuanated, and my practice in the art of Devuanism shall continue until my Devuanization is complete. Until then, I will strive to continue in my understanding of Devuanchology, Devuanprocity, and Devuanivity.
Veni, vidi, vici vdevuaned. I came, I saw, I Devuaned.

@MiyoLInux The live-build scripts I'm using for the ascii build, are a customised version of live-build from Debian Stretch. Not the live-build from the devuan repos. They deal with packages coming from 2 different repos: pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged, pkgmaster.devuan.org/devuan.
I haven't been able to do a build solely from pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged, as vmlinuz is in pkgmaster.devuan.org/devuan
I don't know how to package up the scripts either.
I'd like to do another DIY at some stage though.

What is STAR's init? Is it openrc?
If you have tutorial for live-build script , please give me!
Offline
@xe-non it's standard Devun so it's sysvinit. But live Devuan openrc can be installed.
Everything about the build is on sourceforge. And the live-build manual can be installed as well (pdf, html, ...) You should read these to understand live-build.

Thankz @Ozi

@xe-non Now worries!
I've just added this recomendation to the README
Recommend, theses be run to stop any attempt to update:
$ sudo apt-mark hold live-build $ sudo apt-mark hold live-tools

I will try it.
