Go for it.

Possibly you together want to work out a more direct and private chat channel, e.g., using direct messaging on IRC libera.chat, or email or something. But continuing this thread is ok too.

Perhaps posting updates to this forum might be most/useful/appropriate when you and kapqa have something ready for testing or if you get stuck and need more eyes on the problem. And as ralph.ronnquist suggested . . . you can communicate one on one  on IRC. It is a very efficient way to collaborate.
