Libreoffice update in ASCII

I have been doing some trials of Debian Stretch and upgrading my LXDE Devuan Jessie to ASCii and have found the same bug in both which I believe is a Libreoffice bug.  Version 5.2.7.2 to be exact of course the previous version was 4.3. something anyway the Libreoffice writer would crash and the other programs Calc etc wouldn't so I researched this and found others with the same problem the answer of course is either uninstall the upgraded version of Libreoffice or disable java in Libreoffice options under advanced.  Writer now works I hope this will be fixed sometime.

Anyway thanks for Devuan

LOL!  My old eyes didn't even see that link.  I always bold my links just for that reason.  Hmm . . . maybe I should do that in the css . . .

Re: Libreoffice update in ASCII

@apprentice - thanks for offering an option,
unfortunately - the wps community site doesn't show/reveal 'abiword' when I do a webpage search.
I did the main page and the front page for the forum, or development
.once In the 'Forum' page there was one reference to 'abiword' per their search algorithm
'
I did Libre writer going with the java de-select.

dang, sorry, but I LOL'ed heavily at that just now. ;-)

I can relate, but with me it's the hearing that's really gone bad.

Had to pull into the gas station last week to put some air into a tire with a slow leak, but the air hose didn't have the chuck (fitting) that goes on your tire stem, it was just the quick-release end.

So I went inside and said I needed to use the air-hose to air up a tire, so the girl at the counter says apparently "You need a chuck?"

I thought she said something COMPLETELY different.

Gettin' old...it ain't for the faint of heart I tell ya.....;-)

Re: Libreoffice update in ASCII

WPS office used to be Kingsoft office and by the look of their forums is no longer developed and of course there is no relation between them and Abiword.
