ascii/lxqt wifi address change

Playing with ascii/lxqt install and for my use it's pretty good. So I decided to install eudev and the install went smoothly using synaptic with experimental repo temporarily enabled. ON reboot all appeared normal. A few more reboots and wifi was not connecting.
Short story is address was no longer wlan0. Now wlxc83a35c261fd. (used ip list command someone helpful mentioned somewhere to get address) I don't know what does this or why it did'nt happen immediately on eudev install. Just thought I would share in case someone could enlighten me or be enlightened with the information.

Guess you're not 0n the dng mail list . . .

That should give you some clues about what's going on.

Re: ascii/lxqt wifi address change

Very much to the point of my issue. I do follow the mailing list- just a little after the fact in this case. I still wonder why it was not an immediate problem but took several reboots to show up.

* thanks for the link.

Re: ascii/lxqt wifi address change

Yeah, that's weird. I have one ascii install that I've been running without adding net.ifnames=0 to the boot command except for one morning when I did need it for a few reboots. It was when I was playing with policykit/pkexec/synaptic. Doesn't make sense.
