Greetings to all from Venezuela, we want to present to you, a new distribution based on Devuan Chimera 4.0 in its 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
We use this version because it is the fastest and most stable with very low memory usage.
We have made ISO of XFCE LXDE MATE LXQT GNOME KDE PLASMA CINNAMON I3WM TRINITY coming soon FLUXBOX AWESOME ICEWM
We managed to place Calamares as Installer in it, there is also Systemback to be used the one you like best.
We are oriented more than anything to Computer Equipment in 32 bits of low or medium range.
Cheers
Leonard CEO

All of your versions state "Debian 11 Bullseye" - not Devuan.

That site is waaay too twitchy for me to stay on for more than 30 sec and waaaay too much scrolling with no content. My browser says it is not secure. I'm outta there.

@golinux, not secure because of a video still served from a staging environment :
http://lionlinux-com.stackstaging.com/w … bution.mp4
mixed content is(was?) most common reason for non-secure sites, but it's not always something scary..
but anyway....
website start page mentions debian as base, but a look inside (or sourceforge), mentions clearly the new devuan base : https://lionlinux.com/versions-control/

You are right they say that because the site was outdated the previous version was based on Debian 11 it is already fixed

In reality, the site is safe, it is not a virus or spyware, that there is one with that name is something else.
Our site is secure

That our site is staging does not mean that it is a risk to anyone, my apologies if it gave you a bad impression, we will try to change it to a different Hosting to give you a better impression.
The corrections were given to the web, all this has been very fast, more for a single person.

I don't really understand the essence of this distribution. After all, you can always install a minimal system and then install what you need. In addition, it is not yet clear what the author of this distribution added to his work. I don't want to offend anyone, but personally I would avoid this distributor.
What economists call over-production is but a production that is above the purchasing power of the worker, who is reduced to poverty by capital and state.

i don't understand the essence of most linux distributions, but still not judging anyone.. people are free to do volunteer work/hobby as they like and announce it in relevant forums..
but more importantly, i don't understand the criticism in this particular one (?) wtf?
someone is doing work based on / around Devuan and people repell it for no apparent reason... is there something i don't know about this one? or someting's wrong with you people? you criticise a devuan derivative based on website graphics and a debian mention? really?
tip: dont turn this forum into the toxic thing DNG is..
disclaimer, dont know, haven't tried, aint affiliated, nor, nor, nor,..... with this derivative distro.
2c, (and a step away from quitting forum too).

No!
I pointed out that all his info stated that it was Debian, & not Devuan - an oversight maybe - but this is the Devuan forum.

Yes, this is the core of free software and how it's shared.

This may be a perfectly fine derivative and focusing on 32 bit certainly has a niche. Soooo after reading your post, I took another look and yes, I still find the presentation of this distribution to be to be pretty chaotic and unfocused but then I am a hard-core minimalist and prefer information to eye-candy. I also had a chuckle when I saw CEO appended to his name. Really? So yes, my personal assessment is that the look/feel/presentation do not inspire confidence.

Dev1galaxy is and will become what Devuan users make of it. IMO, at its worst it is still superior to most other distro forums that I have frequented.

I am about a step away from quitting computers and life. Samsara really, really sucks and is currently imploding at the speed of light . . . try not to let it get you down . . .

Im interested in why you decided on the name for the distro Lion Linux, like i am with most distros i come across?
Anyhow good luck with the distro and could you point me to your sources, is it an open source distribution?, can we look at your code?

Maybe it has something to do with his username "leonardom1967" as in "leon"
From one Leonard to Leonardo, would maybe be a good guess!

Ah yes that might be a good guess! Leo is latin for Lion, Leo zodiac constellation.

Also, the main background image is pulled from a "http://" source instead of a "https://" source. The image source shows it as coming from "http://lionlinux-com.stackstaging.com/w … 00x169.png" and it should show the source as beginning with "https://". This will also cause the SSL to show as insecure.

Although that is technically true, many people are not willing or able to do that. They may lack the necessary experience required, or they may be lazy, impatient, etc.
