[SOLVED] Synaptic mirrors?

As a new Devuan user I tried to include some repos to install other packages
like gftp, nedit, qjackctl, qsynth, zynaddsubfx, rosegarden, jack_capture etc:

http://dev1galaxy.org/viewforum.php?id=7
says:
"Devuan recommends using deb.devuan.org in your /etc/apt/sources.list"

If I include lines like

deb http://deb.devuan.org/
deb http://deb.devuan.org
http://deb.devuan.org/
http://deb.devuan.org
deb.devuan.org/

and launch Synaptic I get the error
--------------------------------
E: Malformed entry 8 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list (Component)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
---------------------------------

What else can I try?

They are indeed malformed

Should look like this:

deb http://deb.devuan.org/merged chimaera main non-free contrib
deb-src http://deb.devuan.org/merged chimaera main non-free contrib

deb http://pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged chimaera-security main contrib non-free
deb-src http://pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged chimaera-security main contrib non-f>

Change the distribution to yours if not chimaera

sources.list info is detailed here. Chimaera has not been released yet but you are welcome to test. Otherwise use beowulf which is the current stable release.

It's working ok now

I'm 78 and a Suse user but I'm getting too many issues with both
Leap and Tumbleweed when trying to do music so I gotta set up
an alternative. Don't really wanna climb the migration curve but
anything short of that sounds good!
