Guys,
I'm reading in a few places that the systemd on Debian is really, really bad.
The package maintainers are leaving Debian!

People are saying that if you want a "stable" systemd-based system, you have to choose CentOS or Arch. Like, what a F*** is happening in Debian?! Sabotage?!
I thought that I would be using Debian forever, the search for an OS continues...
I'm wondering here how this bad situation will affect Devuan... Any thoughts?
Best,
Thiago

Hopefully it will drive more users to Devuan, a system that has no systemd problems.

But then, Devuan will, sooner or later, become independent and stop forking Debian (like Ubuntu does often).

Or Debian will come to its senses by allowing init freedom at installation and requiring packages to support all init options.

Do you have any links? Sounds like FUD to me...

So two maintainers have left then?
Debian have over 250 developers so I'm sure they'll manage

Which people?
Arch isn't stable at all, it changes all the time. It is surprisingly reliable though, as long as you install the LTS kernel — the non-LTS kernel breaks a lot (and certainly more often than systemd).
Any thoughts?
Nice troll post, well done

More than 2 Debian devs hang out with Devuan. And no . . . I'm not going to list names.

Look out here is the systemd fanboy. You are like an embeded virus, wherever there is a systemd debate you ferret it out.

I have nothing but love for Panopticon and I totally agree with their assessment.

Sorry for the OT, OP!

Unfortunately init is just the tip of an iceberg.

Alright time for a fresh Gentoo install.
Although to be fair arch 'stable' is like unstable on backports so, although I do notice arch forums are full of help threads so it can't be all that bad.
