Astian OS

Astian OS is the operating system what inherits all the concept and design of Firefox OS and the WebApps, built under HTML5, is development by the Astian Foundation using as base Devuan.

In the version 1.0 Astian OS I do not make many changes in the standard configuration:

• XFCE Desktop

• Refracta Installer.

• Backgroud of Devuan

• Repositories Devuan.

But in the next version 1.0.2 Astian OS will add features like:

• New Installer using Calamares

• Integrate Bambu WM

• Integrate the first library for integration of Sauce Desktop.

• Link to repositories of Astian Foundation

• Integrate WebApps.

• And another.

We want to make ourselves known about the community of Devuan to have their support and thus contribute and build the init community.

In the future, yes of course but we refocus the idea a bit and launch it first to desktop and embedded devices and then launch it in mobile phones, always promoting the WebApps, we also work with Anbox to understand the support for applications and games of greater influence of Android to meet the lack of apps at the beginning from our astore application store

When you try to view it in more detail about Astian Foundation and Astian OS, a message appears that the connection is unsafe ...My browser is Firefox ESR 52.9.0. It would be good for the author to pay attention to this.

I couldn't be bothered to find and list all the weirdness/non-functionality.  The site has been this way for months so the Astian community must think it's OK as is.

There's much more that needs attending than the certificate.  I got sent to at least one 404.

Until this time it is impossible to connect  to the sites. Please forgiv me for the harsh words, but if developers are not able to ensure the functioning of a normal website, what will be final product (Astian OS)?  Of course, this is  rhetoric question....

Thank you for your comments, they are very important to us and it does not matter if they use hard words that much better for us that just means that we must work hard to offer novice and expert users a better experience. We took a little longer but astian.org already has its SSL certificate and like other of our platforms that we will soon make known in the Devuan community.

On the other hand if we are in the capacity to sustain a project of such magnitude as I said before we work hard to offer the best of ourselves and to support, contribute and most importantly constructive criticism so that free software (Linux / GNU ) reach the expert and ordinary people.
