Installation failure for specific locale (gr) [SOLVED].

Hi! :-)

I downloaded the ASCII dvd x64 and I tried to install it (normal installer, NOT the graphical one, bios mode, NOT uefi), choosing my native language (Greek), but installation failed and aborted.
DVD scanned for errors and it passed (OK).

Installing again, using English (American), completed flawlessly.

I choose the packages: devuan, kde, console and standard.

If you think it's a bug and should be reported, please tell me.
G.

Re: Installation failure for specific locale (gr) [SOLVED].

Hello,

a few questions about this:

1. At which point exactly did the installation fail?

2. Was there an error message?

3. Can you reproduce the problem?

Some DMs are more friendly that others to setting locales.  KDE can be a bit fussy with this.  Please read the Release notes and also search this forum for KDE.

I tried some times. It has bugs at various points. From detecting the router (auto or manual configuration failed) the earlier, to installing GRUB (after 97%).

Various. Eg. "Η εγκατάσταση απέτυχε" (=installation failed).
Not very informational though.

Well...yes and no.  Installer seems to be buggy.
It throughs bugs at different points.

Oh I see!
Then I suppose I have the options either choosing another desktop, or customizing localization from the working system (after booting up).

UPDATE:

I managed to install it.
It has some other problems, but I'll open a new post.
THANKS AGAIN!!! ;-)
