Crikey, I don't even like HD on small monitors, & anything bigger than 21" needs to be seen from another room.....

It doesn't matter that there are already similar players, this one is personal....

Quick & dirty music player to me is mc.

Back up your personal data, (as usual), make notes of any config changes you made, then do a dist upgrade.

If it doesn't work out, install afresh.

Use fstab & disk ID to set it up.

I bought 3x 32GB DataTraveller G4 USB3 pendrives, & whilst they are OK to read from, they are abysmal to write to & take hours to fill, literally!

I now just use them to play music from....

I've got Wayland running on my RPi5, so far, the only problem I've had is with touch screens...so I'm willing to stick with it on this SBC, but tend to stick with using Xorg on most of my other machines, (& as noted, Xenocara on OpenBSD).

I've used digital mouse ever since they came out, very reliable...never used a roller/track ball device - too expensive & bulky for me.

I think it took about 2 months last time, we only have a small dedicated team, but they are wonderful people that give us this distro...

To get a more up to date kernel, maybe copy your kernel config file over & try running it with the modern kernel source code..... (?)

is a partition, use /dev/sdg.

Try using grub install from the live disk...

I found that I needed to be connected to the internet for grub to install properly....

I notice that there are several distros listed in the first post that no longer are available, maybe we need a new listing(?).
