The transition from systemd to sysV is quite plain forward and very fast on current Debian Stable/9. But method is different.

Anyways, whats holding the Stable release of Ascii, despite now debian current progress to the 4th point release?

Sir! Really sorry, if it was a speedy question, actually there is no such link to check out like:
https://bugs.debian.org/release-critical/

Definitely, it would be a time consuming task to do what the Devuan Team is doing... most importantly removing the errors and bugs, that are now centric to Devuan, but may not exist in Debian.

I do assume if the Developers put some DEs like KDE, Gnome aside, and just release the xfce first, like done by Linux Mint, probably the release is faster ... but I am not totally sure about this...
