Hello All.
Following the error messages - missing firmware files,
- intel/sof-tgl.ri
- regulatory.db
This error message happened when atempting to install the OS 611,
after losing the sound and wi-fi connection.
Please, can you advise on how to fix this issue?
Thank you and regards,

Did this error occur during installation, or sometime afterwards? That is, did installation complete and now the installed system has no wifi/sound ?
Also, which installer did you use (desktop-live, netinstall, ... ?)
On the excalibur installer iso, sof-tgl.ri is supplied by firmware-sof-signed_2025.01-1_all.deb
It could be helpful to check the shasum of the iso.
If this error is keeping you from installing, it's recommended to use (wired) ethernet, if it's available.

Hello
The issue already existed, but somehow I could make things work again,
by first connecting to a cable and then trying to run some corrections.
Then I got wi-fi again (I don't know how) and lost it now when using the system.
Decided to install again the system (not thru refracta) and the error message came again.
That's why I'm trying to fix it.
Thank you.

Hello...
The sound issue is solved.
The Wi-Fi connection issue is still there.
I applied all the proposed solutions by IA, but they are not working.
Can someone advise, please ?
Thank you.

one possible solution for wifi-issues can be to get an ethernet cable;
works most of the times, sometimes it needs addtional gear (or software, packages, patientce).

For now, that's how it's going to be - cable + Ethernet connection
Then, hope to find the right solution.
If anyway as the right solution to re-establish the Wi-Fi connection, please inform.

if zou want to do yourselves and loved ones a favour, zou could stay on the eterhnet cable, until better options come our way.

I will go with the two packages to be installed that the wonderful little utility apt-file says the files are in, firmware-sof-signed and wireless-regdb. If you want to use this in the future if needed then install apt-file thenapt-file update as root or with sudo if using that method then you can do the searches as any user.

Thank you for the tip related to the Wi-Fi- connection ...
Anyway, found an alternative solution that apparently works for all cases !...
It's a wireless pen that is imediatly recognised and there is no need for any software installation !...
I tried in 2 different linux systems and it connected imediatlly !
The case can be closed.
