Hi there!
Had to grab UPower from Debian Buster since its gone from Devuan repos.
Logitech Unifying Receiver (Mouse/Keyboard/whatever) requires UPower 0.99 since Kernel 3.19. Otherwise MATE may just shutdown immediately after boot, since it misinterprets the battery status. *fun*
Synaptic disappeared for a while from Debian. Now UPower 0.99 from Devuan. Is this common practice on Debian-based distros?

My ARMHF Beowulf has it:
$ apt policy upower
upower:
Installed: 0.99.10-1
Candidate: 0.99.10-1
Version table:
*** 0.99.10-1 500
500 http://deb.devuan.org/merged beowulf/main armhf Packages
500 http://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged beowulf/main armhf Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
My AMD64 and X86 Beowulfs are sleeping and I'm not in the mood to wake them up.
And wasn't Synaptic a Weyland problem?
Or what do I mix up?

Edit:
I see the same upower version on devuan3 for amd64 and i386 too.

Edit:
I must be terribly under caffeinated and or or hallucinating:
$ apt policy synaptic
synaptic:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 0.84.6
Version table:
0.84.6 500
500 http://deb.devuan.org/merged beowulf/main armhf Packages
500 http://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged beowulf/main armhf Packages

Except for the few packages we need to clean up and blacklisted packages, Devuan pulls directly from Debian repos via redirect. Have no idea how others downstream from Debian do it.

For clarity: synaptic was removed because the developers felt that the program failing without an error message meant that it did not attain the requisite quality to be included in the official release, adding a clear error message was enough to get it added back in time for Debian 10.
@OP: perhaps ask Mr. Reurich about the upower version, he is the maintainer for that package.
