(Reportbug Error) AudioDriver / SPDIF crackling with Firefox on Ascii

Hello ,

i am reporting here an error that i inserted in the program "reportbug".

The reportbug failed with the error

Connecting to reportbug.debian.org via SMTP...

This is the problem

I am using a Devuan Ascii with
Linux rich-PC 4.9.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.88-1+deb9u1 (2018-05-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux

and installed upon fresh copy the AMDGPU for Radeon RX560
with

apt install firmware-linux
apt install llvm-3.9 clang-3.9

according to this hint here

What i noticed is that the SPDIF/Digital Audio Connection is crackling quite heavily with Firefox Quantum.

I had installed first the newer kernel 4.9.0.9 and thought this might be related to the kernel upgrade but the crackling is shown also in the stock kernel.

Might this be related to the AMDGPU?

The Audio is showing as
"HD-Audio Generic Digital Stereo (IEC598)"

Please show me how to correctly debug the error.

It seems that the crackling goes away after some time;

I always use direct email method to report bugs not reportbug which can do weird things.

the installed firefox is from the repo Mozilla Firefox 60.7.2

maybe this error is related to the installed packages "llvm"  and "clang3-9". i deinstalled the programs, the amdgpu seems working nontheless, and the crackling for now seems gone.

Is your mail transport agent actually working?

that i don't know. i used the same "settings" as on debian where i previously could send 2 such reports succesfully (with, i suppose, let debian chose smtp-server)
