Click-Drag on desktop changed

I just noticed this today. I'm not sure if the last update caused this, or a previous one. When on the desktop, left click and hold, and drag the mouse. Before, it would dim the dragged area, but you could still see what was in it. Now, it puts a white area where you drag and you can't see anything behind it. I know I probably didn't explain this well, so here's a screenshot. Anyone else noticing this? It's not a big deal but I thought it should be reported.

I don't know whether it was because of an update, or when I reinstalled my system, but now clicking and dragging on the desktop works like it always had.
