Hi everybody,
I have some problems with unstability in the system, some delays when open and running a navegator, etc, but i have realized that devuan_ascii is vey stable after reiniciate the system again, then everything works fast without any problem. I will like to know if this is normal. Thanks!.

I noticed similar symptoms when I used init system-OpenRC. What init system do you use?

@keos . . . I noticed you listed the devuan_ascii_2.0.0-rc_amd64_desktop-live.iso. Are you aware that the stable version was released in June? An upgraded RC should get you to the same place but using the stable iso is a more direct way to do it.

By default, Devuan ascii uses SysVinit. OpenRC is a option which can be selected in the column "expert install". How did you install the operating system? Have you used "expert install" option and have chosen OpenRC?

Hi Ogis1975,
No, i never go for an expert installation. And it was recently that i did a full-upgrade, that is all.
Are you asking me now to change to OpenRC? if so, how can i do that? synaptic? and .. if SysVinit is the one indicated for ascii why to change to...?
And after all, i'm not sure what it is the init installed since 'man init' gives this telinit ...
-- sorry for my error. I went now to synaptic and i found that the init installed is SysVinit, OpenRC is not installed and telinit do not exist.

No! Don’t do that. OpenRC is experimental software. Please read my post #29.

Very strange. After the last updates, I did not cope with the problems you mentioned.
