Stable repositories for adding and updating the entire system!

Hello community!

Does anyone know of repositories to add and update the entire system including applications without breaking the system? I don't know why it takes so long to update the application package repositories.

Most time spent in updates is with source repositories which you or I do not have, so no idea why it takes you as long as you describe. I have more (much more), I use an apt-get cache, proxies and more so there could be the reason for no comparison.
