This would make a lovely addition to Devuan, I think. Maybe talk to the powers that be on the packaging side to have this added? If you're willing to maintain it?
Yours is not the first such request. There are many attractive and useful user-contributed "extras" but they are unlikely to ever be added to devuan itself. Why? Our mission is to provide Debian without systemd . . . full stop.

Yes, I was surprised not to find a 1920x1054 wallpaper option
But seriously, 1080p is probably the most common resolution for laptops so it would be nice to see wallpapers of that size.
Yeah . . . I wasn't thinking when I responded because the 1080p is making its debut in Daedalus (thanks to Lars Nooden). I never did one because I have never had a laptop (or other mobile device) to test. You are still on the chimaera theme because the daedalus/sapphire theme has not yet been integrated into desktop-base. But never fear! You can find pieces of the entire theme HERE. Maybe you'll want to give it a spin?

It even adjusts the desktop resolution automatically to fit the window. Very civilised.
Sadly it did not find find the wallpaper option that would best fits that resolution . . .

I discovered that the cert was expired last night when I went to check some admin stuff. Have notified the folks at dyne but with the holidays who knows when it might get fixed. In the meantime no mail will be coming through on DNG. Patience . . .

Debian has it's idiosyncrasies and on top of that Devuan has it's own to counter Debian's. It is always a good idea to read the release notes before installing or configuring.

The AUR has an old version of the darkpurpy theme. I would update it and add the other versions but I don't generally bother with packages for themes. Just unpack them into ~/.local/share/themes/ and profit.
Problem is that putting it in userspace breaks the theming in synaptic and gparted etc. and sometimes I even run thunar as root . . . GASP . . .
Anyway I left a note on the AUR package page with the new source URL a while ago so people can easily update it themselves.

That git link is broken. Can't download anything from there.
I just DL the clearlooks-phenix theme without having to sign into my account which means that you can too!
Btw, wasn't there a dark mode for these themes?
Nope.
And what about pc's that don't currently use devuan? I run debian on one of my laptops and I want this theme pls.
Only the colors are altered in the clearlooks-phenix theme for devuan. It will work in debian based distros and someone found it in a secondary arch repo!

The default desktop theme is installed with desktop-base but all the old themes from grub to the desktop are available in the repos. You can also get all the pieces at:

Welcome to Devuan l3u! We are a pretty mellow crowd but can have moments at times. Did you not read Head_on_a_Stick's signature? I don't consider that an excuse but it seems that HoaS thinks it is . . .

Perhaps it's time for a task-icewm-desktop or task-jwm-desktop package? who knows.
This has been on my mind for some time and discussed off and on. Xfce has been a wonderful ride but then Gnome2 was also. Things are constantly changing and rarely for the better. Always more complexity, more bloat and more restrictions.
But, i know this: If we have managed to make it this far, I KNOW we can figure it out, I have faith in our team. We can do this!

We support IRC channels on Libera which are the closest thing Devuan has to social media. Dyne does have a Devuan Twitter account but Devuan is not directly involved with it. I think there is a Reddit account but again, Devuan has nothing to do with it. In all the years I've been moderating this board, I don't think I've ever seen any of the "messaging" options populated by a Devuan user. Neither are social media channels mentioned often (if at all) on any of our platforms. Draw your own conclusions . . .

I am just a simple user. Install hardinfo and everything should be listed. Or I may be totally off the mark. I am still wired and everything just works so have never had to deal with your predicament. If so, apologies for the noise . . .
