But keep in mind that in the list of minor planet names, our next release should be ASCII - all caps!. File names will still be lower case of course.
FANTASTIC!! Thanks so much for putting that together!
Thanks for putting that together. It's probably a good idea to have that info somewhere on the site. Now to find the right place for it . . . maybe in a float to the right of the mirrors list. I'll fiddle with that when I have a chance . . .
Nice thought to do that pekman! Someone was asking about the colors earlier today and I completely forgot about responding so this will come in handy.
Your palette is in the ballpark but several of those colors are not in the purpy theme for the website. And several colors are missing like the orange link hover color #C2540D. I have copied the purpy theme css below so you can get all the correct colors. Note that the colors are subtle and nuanced at different locations of the site:

$color1: #E8E7F3; // text

}Indeed. This from today's release announcement:
If you are already using Devuan Jessie RC2, a simple apt-get update && apt-get upgrade will be enough to get the latest updates.
Hello! how many "problems" for the French language?
Greetings phylophyl! It seems like the French translation is mostly completed. There are some phrases unique to the mods on this forum. I can email you the files with instructions of what is needed if you'd like to have a look.
What iso did you use?
Like Debian until 2020 and possibly beyond
There was a big soccer event in Amsterdam last night.
Thanks. Very useful. I wonder if this would also work for video chat when there is no mouse activity . . .
MiyoLinux wrote:DOH! I "almost" put a light circle around the icon. Maybe I should do that when I have time. Thank you golinux.
I think golinux is referring to the original icon, not the customized one. This is how your icon looks on my dark panel.

Don't know why your imgur.com links do not show in my browser. The glow thing looks very blobish. It obfuscates the swoosh.
*edit* LOL! I had an imgur filter in AdBlockPlus
Really minimal . . .

(It gets lost in all the brightness here)
Thanks for the link. My panel is actually the bg color of that icon so all I see is the swoosh.
@Dino . . . you can silence Debian in google searches with the - operator.
<search term(s)> -debian
I do that all the time for -ubuntu
As I suggested above try freenode #devuan-arm or git to contact parazyd.
There have been issues with beagleboneblack in the past . . .
Dear,
I am trying to install Devuan on beaglebone black and I have found some errors on webpage https://devuan.org/os/development-kit, in "arm-sdk :: toolkit for various ARM embedded devices" the currently supported boards are more then the ones listed (checked in https://git.devuan.org/sdk/arm-sdk and an other error, a very serious is in "; init devuan raspi2" the correct command is "; load devuan raspi2".
I dont know it this is OT here.Regards
Dino
https://devuan.org/os/development-kit is an obsolete page. How did you find it?
Please go to https://devuan.org/os/distro-kit for the most recent information. There you'll find this link to the current sdk info: https://git.devuan.org/sdk/arm-sdk
As to the error . . . parazyd doesn't frequent this forum regularly. The best places to discuss arm stuff would be on irc at freenode #devuan-arm or https://git.devuan.org/sdk/arm-sdk where you can start an issue. It might already be corrected in the current instructions.
@mckaygerhard . . . This is not email! If you used the BBCode 'quote' tag, your post would be more readable. Most needed tags are available at a click right above the input areas. Thanks. ![]()

The QT VLC did not work for me when it was first installed on jessie. I ended up snatching the GTK version from Wheezy which works just fine. Of course that's a very short term solution . . .
Interesting, was that using Xfce?
Yes.

FWIW, I only have ntp installed and my Xfce clock is fine.
Would it be worth installing the latest testing kernel on Devuan while I still have ascii in my sources.list?
Disable the ascii repo. Add the Devuan backports repo and try that kernel first. I think it's at least 4.9 something.
@pekman . . . you can't get more minimal than the minimal-live isos. You can build up from there.
@GNUser . . . Even though many of us have been using refracta tools for a long time, software new to Devuan starts in experimental works up to -proposed and then when thoroughly tested moves up to the current release.
Oops. Fixed. Thanks for catching that.
A place for Dev1Galaxy users to communicate in their native language(s). I'm hoping some Romulans or Klingons will show up!!
