I've just uploaded i3!
Yes I have live-build working for Devuan. I haven't made new Devuan packages for it. I have only made a few changes to the way the installer script works. The live-build maintainer has made the naming convention consistent across all scripts.
I'm happy to send you the setup script!
Hi All
The 64 and 32 bit iso's have been uploaded to sourceforge.

@systemdelete the default icon theme is Grey-Maia. Star has a minimal xfce setup, not all of xfce is installed

@JWM-Kit I don't use gui apps to maintain my config, and yes I'm totally fine with xml. I used to use when I was working on B2B messaging in the power industry. Also, as I don't spend a lot of time looking at desktop wallpaper is usually just use #000000, and leave it up to the user to customize it to their liking!
@JWM-Kit looks good to me. But I'll keep my jwm the way it is.
@JWM-Kit downloading now!
Hi JWM-Kit
Sourceforge is free for hosting iso downloads, and easy to setup.

The 32bit iso's are now available.
Hi All
The 64bit iso's have been uploaded to sourceforge, 32bit still to come!
They are a little bigger than I like, if there is another 3.x release I make them smaller. But that might depend on whether Devuan's release schedule.

Hi fsr
Is this also a problem when booting from a usb, or solely optical media?
Ozi
Thanks Zephyr!
Star is a derivative and wouldn't exist without Devuan and all who work so hard on it.
@golinux, @ HevyDevy thanks guys!
@mknoop - yes it's Devuan, and no it's not stripped down, it's built up from a bootstrap.
Hi
Star has again been reviewed on Distrowatch, and I thank them for their support!
I hope this helps bring more users, devs and support to Devuan.

Thanks to everyone who makes Devuan possible!

Good grief. Get a grip. You are not the oracle of truth to anyone but yourself which is an audience of one. Do you not have any place else to troll?

@alphalpha I also took Michael's Devuan Edition for a test drive using VirtualBox 6.0.14
On shutdown from the Jwm menu, then it just hangs.
xauth: file/home/michael/.Xauthority does not exist
Ozi
EDIT: After checking the home folder I can see that the .Xauthority is there.
I also checked the shutdown menu item in the Jwm menu file. I didn't get a message to supply the password to shutdown.
I've downloaded FB, Jwm, booth look great! Downloading OB now!
Thanks zephyr! Appreciate the look-see!
Good luck the Crowz on live-sdk!
Uploading 2.1.1 images built with live-sdk now.
Hi roluan17,
I'm from Germany also. I have dropped all tries to add a country code or a specific mirror. I simply use:
deb http://deb.devuan.org/merged ascii main contrib non-free deb http://deb.devuan.org/merged ascii-security main contrib non-free deb http://deb.devuan.org/merged ascii-updates main contrib non-free deb http://deb.devuan.org/merged ascii-backports main contrib non-free
This works fine.
Regards, rolfie
I'm +11 atm, summer time here. And I see no advantage in country codes either, just use the same as above.
I'm currently refreshing all the 2.1.x images. Built with live-sdk
Just adding my 2 cents here.
ncdu is great little tool to find where all the large folders are, and you can use it to navigate as well.
If you don't need man pages or docs they can be minimised, i.e. replaced, not deleted.
How to reduce the size of Debian Live image
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=90629
search for "zerosize() "
You can also configure localepurge to remove unwanted locales and manpages when new packages are installed or updated.
And I agree with fsr that themes can be removed, but also fonts and images.
Swapping gui apps to cli apps is another good way.
