system crash after upgrade to excalibur

greetings

I recently upgraded my pc to devuan Daedalus, however, after loading into XFCE DE, desktop repeatedly crashes (mouse cursor moves on the screen, but click doesn't work), I had to do a reset,  so far I have tried -
use a different web browser
boot into older kernel

but the issue persisted.

here's my system specs:
Intel NUC7i3BEH
16G memory

I had no problem with older devuan 5 Daedalus installed on the same system before upgrade.

Your post does not have much information from which to diagnose.

How long after the desktop loads do you observe the crash?

When the cash occurs are you able to switch to a basic console with Ctrl+Alt+2?
