[SOLVED] Claws mail start crashing

Hi,

The system: Devuan Chimaera with all recent updates, Claws Mail 4.1.1-2~bpo11+1. Since two days ago it crashes when trying to open mails in HTML mode. Does anybody else experience the same?

it crashes when ...

If you launch the program from a terminal, do you get some message on it?

Hi Pedro,

Yes, below are messages from claws mail after it has crashed. It looks like the recent libwebkit update has broken it.

According to https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/issues/8013
this is worth a try:

WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1

Yes, that has cured the problem indeed. Claws Mail is displaying messages correctly again.
