looks like most of the staff volunteers have left freenode due to a takeover.

Ive read freenode is being flooded with spam due to lack of admin.

Might be time for devuan to switch to something else?

Yeah, we made it official at yesterday's meeting. Nice to see that you showed up, but you left too soon. IRC is asynchronous. You gotta hang around, even if you don't sit there watching the irc screen.

bit of a shitshow by the looks of this freenode issue. Ill stick with the volunteers though, looks like they have had the rug pulled out from under them so to speak.
