libreoffice does not start in the beowulf-beta desktop-live isos. It does start in the system that was installed from that iso. This problem will be present in any beowulf live system with apparmor and either libreoffice or evince. (Maybe others, too.)

The root cause of the problem is that the storage stack set up by
live-boot with overlayfs is not supported by our AppArmor policy at
the moment.
The easy workaround until this gets fixed is to disable apparmor in live sessions.
Add the following to the boot command:
apparmor=0
This will be the default in the final beowulf desktop-live isos.
I'll also add it to the boot command options in refracta2usb.
