Searching for Ansible/GNU/Devuan Hacker*in/Server Admin

Dear Devuan Community,

we are a non-profit (gemeinnütziger und mildtätiger Verein) called Perma – Verein für nachhaltige Naturlebensräume (ZVR 1644988734).
We developed https://www.permaplant.net, a web app that makes flexible, sustainable and biodiverse gardening much easier.
Furthermore, we developed a large Ansible code base for our infrastructure, an onboarding system https://onboarding.perma.health/ which uses Rust/Dioxus, and more.
We use Devuan Excalibur throughout, with the only exceptions of Proxmox PVE and Ubuntu for BBB.

Following qualifications are required:

• Excellent skills in Ansible (including Galaxy and Vault), focussing on good code quality, maintenance, documentation etc.

• Experience in using Git(Lab) and FLOSS development.

Following other skills are beneficial:

• In-depth Linux System Administration Skills, especially Network, Borg, EMail, Keycloak, Nextcloud, Mautic, PostgreSQL, Apache httpd

• Monitoring Experience, ideally CheckMK

• static web page generation/SEO

• CI/Jenkins

• Rust/Dioxus

Start: anytime

Ideally, the work hours would be spread out over the week, especially on Tuesday (Rhonda's day off).

Earlier applications are preferred when there are several equally qualified applicants.

Meditation, or alternatively contributions to Devuan, is allowed within working time.

Sex based discrimination with regards to employment is illegal in many countries (all of the EU as far as I know and the job seems to be based in an EU country), not sure if that applies also to the country this forum is hosted, but I would not tolerate such a legally dubious post if I was responsible for this forum.

Thanks for noting, the sentence was not clear in the translation. I changed it to "Women and marginalised groups are preferred when there are several equally qualified applicants.". It is a standard sentence and the sentence is more theoretical, as equally qualified is nearly impossible. Man are of course encouraged to apply and are not discriminated if they have higher qualifications.

Of course sex-based discrimination is illegal but still usual practice in most institutions (also those who write such sentences).

What the Verein practically lives is that employees are currently balanced, also with transgender.

One point I forgot is that meditation, or alternatively contributions to Devuan, is allowed within working time. (Now also fixed in top post.)

It's still discrimination, it may be the popular thing to do these days, but it is illegal in most countries. The old standard was simple, if two equally qualified individuals applied for a job, the one who applied first got the job.

Thank you, this is an excellent suggestion, I cannot remember I read this before and I like it. I changed it in the top post:

Earlier applications are preferred when there are several equally qualified applicants.

There is currently no application, so the rule change cannot change the outcome for people who already applied.
