I seldom use bluetooth, but this describes setting it up - https://www.howtogeek.com/829360/how-to … -on-linux/
If your user doesn't own the directory, you need to use sudo or the root account.
But, you could change ownership of that mount point to your user, then you can do what you like with files & directories on it.
sudo chown -R charon:charon /media/charon/seagate backup plus drive/
These rankings are mainly newbies trying out various distros, most actual users already know which distro, & go direct to the website!

Thank you for this insight - I hope someone will manage to restore it to the repos in due course.
My 77 year old sister is already missing it, & I only upgraded her computer the other day!
Presently, I have xshisen & xpat2 installed, but she doesn't like them....
Any idea if & when this might return?
Loving this version of Crowz, & so easy to install.
50% of my stack of computers are now running Crowz, the others are using Devuan Live (installed).
Excellent work!
Hello everyone
It is my first post to greet the community, I hope to learn and collaborate together with this great SO Devuan Daedalus
Sincerely

Welcome aboard.
Probably need to run it through a terminal.....
...something like xterm -e "command"
XKBMODEL="pc105"
XKBLAYOUT="us"
So it is set to the US keyboard layout.
Is your actual keyboard a US model(?).
When installing, Devuan default Country is Italian, (because that is where it is produced) - you need to edit that, before installing.
Otherwise, as I just added to my previous post, setxkbmap <yourcountrycode>
(As in setxkbmap uk)
For the Virtual Terminals it is - loadkeys <your country>
It's more likely to be 'country' related - we (in the UK) have to change from American, quite often, as all the symbols are in the wrong place ( ).
setxkbmap <yourcountrycode>

Ah, don't get me wrong, in no way am I criticizing your distro....... I was just putting forward alternatives for your little netbook.....
It would be nice to see a distro using LXQT though....
(P.S. Have downloaded EEE-lxqt & no-dbus to take a look.)
Maybe try using JWM or IceWM instead of a 'desktop', both are quite lightweight in use, but look like a desktop....
Devuan is the original 'Debian', the developers were part of the Debian community, until the debacle of systemd - I used to run AntiX, but decided to change over to Devuan, as they were certain to not add systemd, & so here I am today.....
AntiX & MX Linux developers have been supplying Debian systemd free distros since the original debacle.
I did hint that they might like to use Devuan instead, but they stuck with Debian, so, yes, it can be done.
I'd wait - if your distro includes it, fine, otherwise......
Can't remember for sure, but one of the installations I did needed to be connected to the internet for the grub files to download & be installed - it may have been this one, but wouldn't harm trying.
Commercial companies want to own Linux, so far we have been able to keep going, & reject them, but for how long we can, I don't know, so I keep my hand in with the BSDs just in case...
Excellent news!
However, Sourceforge is showing 2x fb downloads, & one ob, but no jwm.....
...found it under the Download Button....
If everything works in FF, then it is down to Librewolf developers to catch up - this sort of thing often happens with video down loader software.
RedHat wanted to make money out of support contracts.
Systemd was to be the Linux equivalent of MS Windows Registry - a complex all in one place for configuration - which most people wouldn't understand - so therefore enabling them to sell support contracts to businesses.
He missed the point that Debian forced its followers into using systemd, the reason Devuan came about, because they didn't give a choice - & it wasn't until later that they capitulated, by which time they had lost a considerable amount of users & developers to Devuan - & we have no reason to return to Debian.
It should disappear if you press the F11 key - press again to get it back.
I see, but you do know that there are lots of different looking desktop environments available, just a quick apt-get install away.....
Then you can configure most to your own idea of perfection.....
So, welcome to freedom for you & your computer...
