The drive numbering and size/location of the partition on the disk are two different things.

I will add here for the record that fsmithred's firemenu is a simple text dialog option to firejail that uses yad iirc.

I just checked and I don't have linux-headers-generic available in jessie or ASCII.  There are plenty of linux-headers-* for various kernels and pae etc.  Maybe you need linux-headers-common?

I have never touched my bash profile and bash_completion has always worked.  Maybe that's an Xfce thing?
