#226 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » [SOLVED] In firefox a google popup asking to remember my password, how to stop? » 2024-02-23 11:37:49

Another option (on particular sites)...I'm kind'a scratching my head to remember (because I'm Amnesiactic n'stuff tongue )...because I no longer have to deal with it (I do what Andre4freedom suggested)...but when that Save password window pops up, there are options in the window via a drop-down menu.

Click on the drop-down menu, and choose Never.

...but Andre4freedom's answer will solve your problem. wink

Thanks Uncle aluma; looks like something I would be interested in.

I used to have one of those "free accounts" with a website builder. I used it to upload photos to various places. That certain "website builder" changed some things; in which, I didn't personally like. So, I just started using imgbb.

However, if anyone is interested, here's the code that I would use to upload images when I did have that website builder's free account...

For a full-size image...

For a "clickable thumbnail" that will increase to full-size when you click the thumbnail...

I've used featherpad in the past and liked it.

I just installed it to see if I'd get the same behavior that you described. I don't get the hang here.

Personally, I don't think they need to be moved.

Those posts are just a quick aside.

I think the jokes still flow, but that's me. smile

ymmv. It won't hurt to try.

jacksprat,

Cool name by the way...

Leafpad hasn't been available since Devuan Ascii. Beowulf and Chimaera releases were skipped without leafpad or L3afpad being available...(hence why I saved the .deb package wink ).

As of Devuan Daedalus, only l3afpad is available. If you wish, you can click the following links to see what I'm talking about n'stuff... smile

Leafpad

herbie,

If what I'm seeing is correct, there are no Devuan mirrors included in your sources.list...only Peppermint and Debian.

I'm not sure what happened...

Were you wanting to install the Devuan version of Peppermint? If that's the case, it appears that you actually installed the Debian version of Peppermint?

EDIT: I'm unfamiliar with what the Peppermint sources.list looks like, so I'm only going by the picture that you shared. wink

Okay...I relent.

You guys have talked me into going ahead and trying l3afpad again.

I'm branching out of my comfort zone...

Ahhhh...your sources are peppermint and debian. Have you asked on either of their forums?

Well, being the idiot that I am I just had to try Arcolinux,   Well  that didn't work out at all.  Weird terminal input, whisker showing in the wrong place and just in general not comfortable.   Soooo, here I came back.   Such a pleasure.  I have to stop these urges to try a new Linux Distro.

Bro...distro-hopping is a fundamental right that 99.999% of Linux users go through. Hop a lot, then settle on the one (after a few years of hopping) that suits you best. After much hippity-hopping, I went with vanilla Debian. After a little more hop-scotch, I settled on Devuan.

Take your time, explore, and enjoy the journey. smile

I don't know why this intrigues me tongue ...might try cleaning your cache...

sudo apt clean

...then try running an update again...

sudo apt update

...but it's recommended that you don't mix devuan repos with others. wink

Good luck.

#249 Re: Devuan » Repositories » 2024-02-14 16:23:56

May I ask...why do you have a "Debian" repo in your sources on Devuan???

A quick search of debian.map.fastlydns was unable to connect to anything.

A quick search of debian.map.fastlydns.net returned a fatal error! yikes

A quick search of debian.map.fastlydns.net:80 returned a fatal error. yikes

Might want to check out this page???

https://www.fastlystatus.com/

I stopped after that. IMHO, this is a Debian/fastly issue...not Devuan...but who am I to say...I'm just some guy... wink
