If you have an Nvidia GPU you will need to install the nvidia-driver package and reboot. Then all of your screens should work. (However, when I tried to do this with KDE, it totally broke KDE for some reason and the desktop wouldn't load anymore. So I reinstalled with Xfce instead.)
To install packages, do sudo apt edit-sources and then put a # in front of any lines containing "cdrom". This will comment them out so that they are no longer used as sources. After that you will probably need to do sudo apt update. Hope this helps.
I'm glad to see that QEMU/KVM was able to use my Windows 10 vdi file. I know that VirtualBox had Win10 guest additions that made it run better (more resolution options for example). Anyone know if something like that exists for KVM?
Ah, I did not know about that. Thank you for the advice; I do appreciate it. I'll look into those options.
Ah, I hadn't thought to check backports for some reason...thanks.
Greetings. I don't think that Vbox is in the Devuan repos (from doing apt searches...). What's the best way to install it on my system (if it's even possible)? Or does Vbox have some kind of systemd dependency? (Sorry if this question is obvious/common...I'm still a Linux noob and new to Devuan in particular.)
I've used Vivaldi for a while now and I quite like it. It has some features that I haven't seen from other browsers (the ability to add custom quick searches - i.e. "y linus tech tips" to search for linus tech tips on YouTube - is very cool, for example). Their whole account sync thing works pretty well but it doesn't sync some things that I wish it did (such as those quick searches).
I guess the main reason I don't use Firefox is because the LastPass extension for it just doesn't work very well compared to the Chromium one. It's a nice backup browser to have though.
Wow, those look great! Gives me motivation to actually learn how to make mine look nice...
