I'm wondering how to deal with the name change on the derivative lists. Maybe just leave crunkbong for now and add "crunkbong is now thomOS" and change the link? Thoughts?.

Yes, a big thank you to KatolaZ and rolfie for sharing their research and experience. I am rather hardware-challenged. Farm out all but the simplest tasks like changing a HD or PCI card. Still mostly on 1 TB WD black spinning drives that go on like the energizer bunny. I'll stay on them as long as they are in good health. I'll cross the SSD bridge when the time comes . . . possibly not this lifetime. LOL!

If there is something that you think requires extensive "conversation", You can start a new thread in the appropriate section (probably not Announcements). If you just want to comment, drop it here. If it turns into a "thing" I can split off to a separate thread. Keep in mind that this is a forum not a wiki. Users may post documentation but it is ephemeral and will likely become outdated in time.

@inukaze . . . I'm curious how you got auto.mirror repos on an ascii install. deb.devuan.org is the default repo in ascii which mirrors pkgmaster.devuan.org

Well, talking and wishing and philosophizing won't get the job done. That takes committed volunteers willing to do the work. Unfortunately, end users and outsiders have lots of ideas/demands but rarely lift a finger to make them a reality.

Do you have grayscale or rgb antialiasing when none order selected?
All the options are rgb. But setting it to "none" avoids hints of color here.

I have never seen that on my screen but I do see some bleeding on screenshots with strong contrasting colors. In Settings > Appearance > Fonts, I have Enable anti-aliasing checked, Hinting: slight and Sub-pixel order none. Default font is set to Open Sans Semibold. But then I have a really nice Dell IPS monitor. Maybe reducing the saturation on your screen would help and reduce brightness a bit - I work at 70%.

You should get some more sleep and spend less time on forums like this one.
If you actually used Devuan or contributed anything substantial my ears might perk up because then you'd have a point of reference from which to critique. I think you just come here when you're bored or having a bad day .

Have you tried adjusting the acceleration/sensitivity of your mouse in Mouse and Touchpad from the main Applications menu?

No...it's simply a basic YAD script...that I'm going to have to change since consolekit apparently will no longer be available beginning in beowulf.
Isn't there consolekit2. There has been recent discussion. and also there are consolekit related packages in beowulf:
libpolkit-backend-1-0-consolekit
libpolkit-gobject-1-0-consolekit
etc.
You should probably be on the ML.
