Had a bit of a problem today with the Jessy net inst. I was trying to install it over wireless but it kept freezing up at configuring various files in the select and install part of the install. I tried to reinstall a few times. Finally gave up and decided to hook it up with ethernet in the spare room. It installed fine.

1. At which stage of the installation procedure exactly does it freeze? If I understand your description right, this happens after tasksel (the thing where you select software (not) to install, e.g., a desktop environment).
2. What do you mean by "freezing up"? Can you still abort the installation through the installer?
3. Are you using the i386 or the amd64 version?
4. What is your wireless hardware?

i386.
Yess it happens past the software selection part. After the software selection bit where its downloaded all the hardware and unpacking.
I don't have details of the card but it downloaded everything ok. I don't think it was a problem with the wireless card.
By freeze I mean it stopped unpacking on rardom packages after downloading them.
Its installed now and I am quite happy with it. Wireless is working just fine.
