the firefox made icecat disease ...

a very important reason to refuse firefox is that it needs separate dictionaries. as I use live systems, I refuse to install more than ONE SET of dictionaries for all text applications excepted OCR of course (because of the graphik part of the problem). More: It is so, that I complete my dictionaries myself and that downloaded ones are not good, can not be good enough.

seems to herit of that problem...

or is a way known to reinstall hunspell dictionaries used by all other applications having spell control as in the past (iceape would offer that ability but the Mozilla business men did kill the old Mozilla suite...)?

Mozilla Suite is alive. It was renamed to SeaMonkey and is maintained by an independent organisation.
