That one is nice! Gonna have to fire up my desktop at home that's got all the graphics stuff on it and crank out some new artwork too, was just suggesting a section like this yesterday.

While my Devuan is sick I thought I'd fire up my "Art"ix and do some art work

I heard your proposal so I am starting up the fire. No better firestarter than some bad images so people will say "I can do better than that".

To be explicit, with the exception of the Devuan logo (obviously), the images are created from scratch and are both released into the public domain. Credit would be nice but is not mandatory.

I can't get into the purpy thing no matter what, but otherwise they are great. For a while I thought I was seeing a human figure under the U on the plasma theme. Something like the great reaper would go well with purpy.

What sort of colour scheme would you like to see? I'll make a few new ones for your tastes.

Made a couple more images that I wanted to try prior to the upload of the last images. The Devuan logo looks suspiciously like a futuristic Starship Logo, unfortunately what I had imagined and what I ended up producing were two different things, and I wasn't happy with the end result:

After seeing the vegetation tool by accident, I knew I wanted to try a purple alien planet type theme:

I think it turned out okay.

WOW!!

I like sea and forest, I like dark rather than bright, I like colors within the blue-green spectrum and letters of the yellow-red. My terminal screens are all dark gray-blue-green with light yellowish-orange letters.

And I like blues-blues-rock themes apart from nature. I am "trying" to grow away from my moto-mania backgrounds, but something like a KTM550-mxc or ZRX1200, or a W650-tracker can get me fixed again.

Hi fungus.

I initially tried a forest/sea theme with sunset style text, but the image looked unnatural to me, and I thought maybe I was trying to mash together too many different themes, so I focused on the sea aspect:

I hope you like it.

I intend to make others but I'll be spacing these out for a few days as I dig into the assimilation and vdev programming parts giving me hassle in Pigeon.

I like the sea part, especially the near part, but I think the colors match more on a shoreline with rocks.
The sand tone I think needs to go on more red and pastel/white content, almost like skin color, this yellow is to unreal.

I'd call this bg Floridian Cloudspace Maybe replace the sand with marshes and call it Glades Cloudspace.

I also made a wallpaper. It took me 4 minutes and I don't hate it. Even after looking at it for 2 minutes. So I thought I could share it. It has a 1980:ies, lazer, synth waveish vibe to it, being all neon and wavey.
The wave made its name across the web last summer, so you may have seen it already in many places. But I put Devuan on it. I consider the original pretty much fair use by now since I can't find the author and the web is drowning in it. Literally, it being of water and I found its copy on more than hundreds of different wallpaper sites. I ran it through waifu2x (https://github.com/nagadomi/waifu2x) to get rid of some jaypeg artifacts and then I put the Devuan logo I found on the main site and did a simple gradient on it, on it.

Thanks for linking in my first post there, fungus! I was a bit hasty when I made that wallpaper though, and I didn't notice the bigger jaypeg artifacts in the corners.
Especially bottom left.

Waifu2x is a great tool but those blocks were just to big. It isn't meant to fix that sort of noise. So, I made a second edition of my first attempt. It is cleaned using gimp. So now I actually spent more like 14 minutes on it!
