[SOLVED] installing excalibur

Greetings All,

What would be the options to install devuan testing at the moment.

I tried (1) installing testing netinst image from a CD and a USB -- it booted but eventually complained about unmerged /usr not compatible; (2) tried to install daedalus so that I could upgrade to testing.  The install image does not boot, neither from a CD nor USB.  In this case both CD and USB are recognized by bios, but do not boot.

I could try netbooting and installing this way, but hoping for something easier.

The system is a core i3 10100 with a gigabyte motherboard, onboard video, nothing fancy.

Thanks.

Edit: maybe there is a trick during advanced install where I could create the necessary links for /usr and /sbin?  I don't mind going this route but would appreciate a confirmation beforehand that this is possible since I have to travel to a location.

Re: [SOLVED] installing excalibur

Someone is working on fixing that issue. Until new isos appear, you can either install daedalus and upgrade to excalibur, or you can boot one of the daedalus live isos and do a debootstrap install of excalibur.

Or search this forum to read the other discussions about this for possible workarounds or if you want to help with testing/troubleshooting.

Re: [SOLVED] installing excalibur

Thanks.   I tried to install daedalus again, and it worked; I likely had a corrupted image when I tried the first time.
