Good morning!
I've just finished installing daedalus from the DVD ISO, and I selected only KDE to be installed, deselecting devuan desktop environment and XFCE. Everything appeared fine, however now after booting, sddm doesn't appear to launch and I am left at the login prompt.
I can see "Starting Init script for Simple Desktop Display Manager: sddm." followed by a few lines for network startup and printing, and the login prompt, and no errors. sddm appears to be running in ps aux.
If I log in with my user and run startx, everything works fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Simen

Two suggestions.
1. Press ctrl-alt-F7 to see if you can find your running desktop (or graphical login screen)
2. As root, run /etc/init.d/sddm restart and see if you get any useful messages. Try finding the desktop again, too. Maybe check all the vts (ctrl-alt-F1, F2, etc.)

Turns out I had to install the radeon firmware package, there was an error about it in dmesg
