Sounds silly, mixing CWM with GNOME Apps aren't that bad.
As usual, thanks to Joe Motohashi for the background.

You can guess what you want, but I'm not crazy
If using Emacs is a mark of craziness, then I consider it a blessing. But then again I also like Perl which makes me certified crazy in current year according to some definitions. Still an Emacs newbie but it's already a major improvement in terms of my workflow since I work with text, scripts, regex, etc. all the time. It's like a working environment to me and suits my purposes better than vim does. Glad I finally took the time to learn it.

GNOME 42:
Yay.
EDIT: I can't change the default theme or icon set. Genius. Good thing I like them best anyway
I haven't checked beta yet, i only tested a few GTK4 applications, I'm impressed with libadwaita white / dark features. I just hope gnome-tweaks will work soon or later, ofcourse default is fine.
I like Adwaita dark or default too, i use sometimes, but i like way more Ubuntu Yaru now, as i posted above. I use Yaru on Fedora 35 for Shell and GTK apps. If it would made into GNOME 42 i'll be pleased.
I'm waiting to upgrade it when it becomes stable. It is awesome what i have seen so far.

Very nice! Is that my oksh package or is it Sören's loksh version?
You can use pfetch instead of neofetch — it uses /bin/sh, which will let you delete that bash bloat.

Never been much of a desktop ricer, anyways chimaera w/ LXQt at low idle ram usage, 1600 packages with steam games + nvidia running smoothly.

I installed the alpine version of loksh? Which is this git repo here https://github.com/dimkr/loksh
I dont see any packages oksh though. I usually install elsewhere this oksh https://github.com/ibara/oksh via git as ibara ships the default ksh.kshrc file whereas alpine does not, but it is easy enough to grab the file from ibara and put it in etc.
Need bash for pass and passmenu unfortunately.
Edit to add, i just love how deadbeef can be shutdown the computer shutdown and next day be rebooted and im listening to the same album and song i was yesterday! If i knew how to package deadbeef i would for Devuan, it should be in the repos imo.

Yeah, I packaged that up for Alpine and uploaded it to their testing repositories:
https://pkgs.alpinelinux.org/packages?n … ranch=edge
That repository should only be used with the edge branch though, see https://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Enabl … positories for the instructions.
I really should get it moved into the community repository instead...

Im on the edge branch but dont have the testing repo enabled, maybe should give it a try. I suppose there would be a lot more packages available in testing yes?
Offline
Yes, lots. I've also got mokutil in there, which can be used to add your own SecureBoot keys to the motherboard.
EDIT: testing is like the Arch AUR except that every APKBUILD is vetted by the Alpine devs before uploading so the quality of the packaging is *much* higher.

Upgraded to Fedora 36 yesterday once it released as stable. Overall the upgrade process went well, I haven't seen in general how things go on anyhow.
Customs themes works, but there are some inconsistencies naming due to default Light/Dark until the customs hacks find the right path.
At first glance it looks very fine release. I like a lot this release.
Randomly chosed the same background as above.

Thank you!
Alpine Linux is the most lightweight distro with one of the fastest package manager ever.
Really so! I totally agree with you. It's even faster than pacman.

No way, GNOME with 2G memory? OK, I know it works, but slows down a bit after a few hours of works due to swap usages of hdd.
At least to me with 4GB memory happened.
I have done very recently the unorthodox way by installing only mutter with tint2 just for the testing sake. It was awesome experience.
Working with dconf-editor i managed to make interesting graphic adjustments on mutter wm. I just could not change the image of the desktop to the WM alone, despite the efforts of the editor or the commands i made.
I would be interested to know which path you followed to install your GNOME without shell?
Very fine achievement anyway.
