What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

Is this a temporary clitch or has it moved/removed?

Re: What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

The package search page also works for me. Are you using a proxy or something? How are you handling DNS queries in your box?

~$ nslookup pkginfo.devuan.org
Server: 9.9.9.9
Address: 9.9.9.9#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: pkginfo.devuan.org
Address: 54.36.142.179
Name: pkginfo.devuan.org
Address: 2001:41d0:2:1f68::3624:8eb3

Re: What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

When I go to https://pkginfo.devuan.org/ using firefox 82.0 I get:

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to pkginfo.devuan.org. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Learn more…

The same thing happens when I link there from https://www.devuan.org/os/explore at the Search Package Information line.

I'm using FF v82.0 (Alpine Linux) and I don't see that.

What is your output for the nslookup command I posted above? The dnsutils packages provides the command.

Isn't that systemd-resolved's stub resolver? I have found that to be somewhat broken but I haven't tried it recently. Are you using Devuan?

Re: What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

not for this.  I am using Ubuntu 20.4

I tried it on a Beowulf virtual machine using ff 78.3.0esr and I did not get the warning message.

The nslookup output on there is:
Server:        10.0.2.3
Address:    10.0.2.3#53

I followed the directions at that link and restarted ff but still go the same warning.

Re: What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

Perhaps this was due to the service pkginfo.devuan.org not being available on ipv6, which now it is.

Re: What happened to package search at pkginfo.devuan.org ?

Disabling ipv6 fixed it.
