Install usb printer
How do I install my printer,
I have installed cups. and via applications / system / print settings / add new printer / administrator login, search Driver.
and then the program closes without finding the new printer.

A bit more info will probably be needed to help you, such as make & model of your printer.

yes the printer is a samsung ML-1674
i have before installed is on debian installations from the repos

deb http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/ debian extra

and from install.sh file from suldr home page. but i haven't tried that yet.
my experiences whit cups is that it recognize the printer but the ppd file is somehow wrong, and led to error,

internal error: use proper driver: line 180

a update, the printer is install, from user root, but i still get an error, the ppd file is not right

module: Samsung ML-1660, 2.0.0

but et prints a pages.

is ther anyone there haw a suggestion?, and is et difficult to configured and compiling a driver from cups?

solved i installed the suldr install.sh file and it works as a charm
