Soundcard is not recognized in Ascii...please help.

Hy! My english is not good, I'm from Argentina, but I'll try to do my best. Some day, not far away, devuan will be common in spanish people!. For me Devuan is the future, and systemd will fall, as a big gigant...a big fall.

Now, my big problem: my soundcard is not recognized. i'm urged cos my 4 childs needs theirs games. Their father (me) always said that devuan is the best distro...and now...I what resolve this before they knows the problem, haha!.

I am in Ascii. From specifications, I know that my card is
VT8237R Plus integrated VIA AC'97 audio controller
Realtek ALC655 AC'97 audio codec
AC'97 2.3 compliant

but ...

I read all post about this here, but nothing helps. Someone here could resolve this issue updating kernel. I did the same, now is linux-imga 4.19 (from ceres)--- but without results.

Please, some sugestions will be very apreciated, cos I'm staked. All other things, policykit, automount and go on are going perfect! only sound for my childs (is their computer) rest. Thank you very much People Of Devuan!

Perhaps, run alsamixer F6 to select soundcard?

but I have done yesterday this that you said, and the only card that appear is "pulseaudio".
I had uninstalled pulseudio too, without results. Now is installed as in Ascii defaults.

I found here someone with similar problem...without answers....

hola, .. . por curiosidad.. y porque tengo una toshiba satellite "viejita" que tiene un tarjeta de sonido que también es realtek y que igualmente no suena ...

¿cómo sabés que está rota? ¿how do you know you sound card is broken?

he econtrado discusiones sobre necesitar un driver de realtek, que sólo funciona con kernels por debajo del 3.6 . .

a buscarle pué!!
