Trower Sighs- slow excellent!  Saw them live early 80s; Trower just stood there mostly in 1 spot and played his magic!

A beautiful album by two collaborating artists. They each take turns playing the same song but Black Hill does his magic on guitars while HeklAa plays piano.

Searched back through the posts on this thread and this album sounded interesting, and it is!  Enjoying... Thanks.

Glad you like it! I recommend digging a bit more into Black Hill's other music and aliases if you get a chance. His other project named "musicformessier" is also great: https://musicformessier.bandcamp.com/.

I downloaded both awhile back and forgot to mention so. Thanks for the share!

Also in this episode:

So Se Neon - The Wave
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdkSpAL … jreload=10
This particular recording brings out the grittiness of the other guitar at the end, while the "lead" guitarist's sound is more reserved, like a texture over it.

Didnt know much about Kristofferson, then saw him on 1 of the early Farm Aids, liked what I saw.  Then when Highwaymen formed; thats when I was more exposed to his music.  A man of many talents.

@ dxrobertson: Kris has a unique voice and singing style which I like when first heard him on the radio, enjoyed him as an actor as well.

Really liked FarmAid and what they were trying to achieve, Neil Young also one of my favorites.

Definitely one of my all-time favorites of their songs. I especially like this live performance. It's a lot more powerful than the album recording.

Re: Music

The Cure.  No guitar; base and lead both played on a bass guitar, + very simple drumming.  A rich sound from such simplicity.

@zephyr, I think you and I sometimes listen through the same headphones.  I have always enjoyed the softer side of Sabbath found in these tunes.

One of my favs, soft and floats along, with a heavier chorus, is Junior's Eyes

In a cosmic way of things believe there are many brothers and sisters who appreciate the same sound we do, after all, it's just noise and some of it more pleasant to the ears and senses  than other noise. big_smile

More often than not the really best tunes never hit the airwaves from any performers album, what was chosen by promoters was often what was trendy but never reflected the true potential of a band or their best music.

One of my favs, soft and floats along, with a heavier chorus, is Junior's Eyes

Exactly, another overlooked classic, haven't heard this in a great while, appreciate bringing it forward again! smile

New to me, great sound! Thanks!
