Why do you care?
Because Devuan users should be aware that packages installed from Ubuntu could have "unintended consequences" on their Devuan system. It is a bit like Russian roulette. But your box, your choice.

The package in question should be in jessie-security by now.
Also look at the sources options on this page.
The reason auto.mirror is still mentioned is because that is the repo used on the install isos. But the warning that it is deprecated is also there.
Since your IP has been cleared I hope you won't get snaplocked again.

Centurion_Dan has repackaged policykit-1 and it is now available for testing at jessie-proposed-security main. He suggested using deb http://pkgmaster.devuan.org/devuan but I don't see why deb.devuan.org wouldn't work as well. But maybe KatolaZ needs to set up that new repo on the deb.devuan mirror. For those who don't know . . . auto.mirror is now deprecated.

OK. I'm awake now. 
I just tried to update my Jessie and got the same message. I'm guessing it needs repackaging to remove that dependency. I will alert the devs and maybe you could file a bug report at bugs.devuan.org to remind them?

Sorry for digging up an old&solved thread, but link provided by @fsmithred is dead. And I can't find a proper solution to this.
I have very similar issues with permissions as OP:
1. Restart/Shutdown/Suspend/Hibernate icons are greyed out.
2. wicd an vpn client are not showing in notification area (notes is visible)
3. synaptic cannot be launched through pkexec
4. / /boot /home /tmp /var and unmounted cd icons appeared in file manager & desktopI don't have systemd-backend installed. I'm using SLIM and xfce.
Also since ConsoleKit is deprecated is switching to ConsoleKit2 (https://github.com/ConsoleKit2/ConsoleKit2) a proper solution?

I think this may provide the content of the dead link or at least similar. SLIM with ASCII should work ootb so not quite why you're having an issue except for synaptic etc for which I have gksu launcher(s). Also please read the ASCII Release Notes if you haven't already.

Make sure you have the latest sources. auto.mirror is deprecated and deb.devuan.org has replaced pkgmaster.
I knew that this was true starting with ASCII but is it also the preferred sources for jessie also? I got hit with this same problem.
Devuan.org ( https://devuan.org/os/etc/apt/sources.list ) still shows:
Devuan 1.0.0 Jessie (oldstable)
# /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged jessie main
deb-src http://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged jessie main
That is because auto.mirror is still default on the install isos. This is at the very top of the page:
/etc/apt/sources.list
IMPORTANT NOTE: auto.mirror is now deprecated and will be decommissioned. Please make sure you have the latest devuan-keyring package with apt-get install devuan-keyring and then point your /etc/apt/sources.list to deb.devuan.org.
Maybe that should be expanded a bit.

This time, I selected to put the bootloader on a partition.
I don't know your setup but generally the bootloader needs to go on the disk not a specific partition ie. sda not sda1.

We have already planned to do that. It is the Devuan specific documentation that needs to be written. msi was working on it but has disappeared. Volunteers come and go . . .

@keos . . . I noticed you listed the devuan_ascii_2.0.0-rc_amd64_desktop-live.iso. Are you aware that the stable version was released in June? An upgraded RC should get you to the same place but using the stable iso is a more direct way to do it.
