Just a little bit of info about me.

I've been using Linux, mainly Debian, then Crunchbang (#!), & moved to AntiX when they announced it's demise, since 1999.
I prefer small installations that do what I want from my computers, & I'm not afraid of the commandline.
I help out on forums when I can, as my way of giving back to the community.
I didn't like Debian's decision to adopt systemd, & when I heard the proposal to create Devuan, I donated a small amount to help set up the infrastructure.
Since then, I have kept an eye out for progress, & was happy to find some distros based on it, & I have now got an installation of Refracta8 on one of my laptops.
(I have also used FreeBSD & OpenBSD, of which I much prefer OpenBSD.)

Many thanks, yes, I found reference to it in one of the other posts I have read tonight, (I think I've read everything on the forum now), & have downloaded it to give it a try. smile

Me too! smile

I prefer a forum to the Devuan Discourse - so many thanks for setting this up.

Regarding which to install, I like(d) MiyoLinux, but it's being dropped, so I've installed Refracta8, but will get around to checking out vanilla Devuan some time, & also any others that may show up. smile

Yep, that's why it's there. smile

Many thanks for continuing to defeat those damned spammers, (I've only just found the forum & registered).

I much prefer a forum than the Devuan Discourse. smile

Many thanks for creating this forum. smile

I've been keeping an eye on developments since the original announcement of Devuan, contributed a small amount to help get infrastucture in place, but only just getting around to testing/installing.

I've been tyring out MiyoLinux (soon to be defunct, unfortunately, as it is/was the perfect base for me), & Refracta8 which I think may be the way I'll go.

(I've yet to try the raw/vanilla Devuan release.)

Unfortunately for us, MiyoLinux is to be mothballed, says so in another thread, so unless somebody competent enough to take it over does so, it will vanish, a great shame, but I read there are very good (personal) reasons why.
