I don't know whether GoLinux is an actual developer or does everything else, like running this forum, and tolerating my big mouth.
Just what is an 'actual developer' and what is 'everything else'? Are you really that clueless what it takes to do what Devuan is trying to do? And please golinux - all lower case . . .
As to amprolla3 and the mirrors . . . as fsmithred noted, how those mirrors will be integrated into Devuan's delivery system is still in process.

Dev1galaxy doesn't seem to have any of this, and the forum works just fine with scripts off. Try reading an article in NYT or Guardian, and see how many sites are on to you.

Whew...so it's not just me...
Well, I fixed my issue which was that I had tweaked the brightness/saturation settings for a desktop gradient. Once I reset them to default, everything returned to normal. Hope your solution is that easy. The hard part is remembering . . .

I just noticed a very slight color variation in the Adwaita theme's color in Ascii. Strange.
OT . . . I can really relate to this. Trying to theme ascii and there is a significant color variation between the image in the viewer/editor and as the desktop wallpaper even on jessie. I have no idea what's going on . . .

Well, I have 23 addons. Many of them help to put FF back like it was before Mozilla screwed the pooch. Without them, being online would really, really suck.

And I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you . . . FF without the addons I've been using for years is a non-starter regardless of how fast it supposedly is. My old FF is pretty snappy so had no complaints about speed before. The biggest annoyance I have is that it's a memory hog and needs to be reloaded regularly.

Fsmithred is right, I used the wrong thread where the openrc ascii iso is mentioned to add my excitment of getting it to work after a gfx glitch. Would you be kind enough to clip the messages from https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?pid=6252#p6252 onwards (mine at least) and bring them to this thread which seems more appropriate?
There is a way to split a thread and start a new post but I can't find a way to merge posts into another thread. I suggest you repost your comments in a more appropriate place and then delete the posts in this thread. I can delete them if you are unable to do so but I will need the exact post #s. I gave up trying to follow your experiments closely long ago so really not able to sort this on my own . . .

1. Reinstall the meta package and you 'should' get everything back.
2. Reinstall xfce without the meta package and just add the pkgs you want.

This makes no sense to me. There are only problems/puzzles and solutions. When there is no possible solution, the best course of action is to move on.
Definitely some of those obvious, maybe to you, things have lost their way into later generations.
There is truth in this. Instant gratification and propaganda lower the bar for clear thinking and assessment of situations.
One of my favorite poets ends her poem saying that the final goal is to remain human.
To be 'human' is by definition is to be 'flawed' ie. filled with conflicting impulses. Until that is sorted with very careful observation there is no clarity, peace or end to the misery.
It takes being hurt, cold, hungry, and thirsty to realize what you really need and what you don't.
This is so true. And that's what it will take for our consumer culture to wake up. It's going to be some ride when reality sets in . . .

Well, I don't compost but what I've had to deal with over the years exceeds what I put out hands down.
Do you care getting dirty looks for picking up leave and weed cutting bags from the garbage area taking it back home?
Not a bit. I am a scrounger sometimes by the side of the road etc. I recycle and reuse others' trash in creative ways.
How about undressing outside so you don't drag all the tear gas contaminated clothing back in the house?

But going back to your initial question, what happens to me is unimportant.
In the end none of 'this' matters a whit. All that matters is the quality of our thoughts, speech and actions and most importantly, the generating force behind them..
I can only see important what society perceives as important, whether bad or good by my judgement. If you were out defending whales, would that be about you, or about what you believe as a necessity for whales to survive the human slaughtering. You can choose to keep on sailing or you can fire that torpedo you are carrying around to that Japanese ship.
That's where we part ways.

Everything we say, think or do is a choice. And all those choices have consequences so best to choose wisely. It is an internal process. That being said, if I were in an urban environment I would be living the same way I do in nature but the latter is of course more pleasant.
I say it is so hard and you end up being so antisocial and isolated that it still does not matter if you could. You then have to prove you exist.
What? no cell phone, no facebook, no bus, just feet and bicycle, get away from me you pervert!
Why do you care how people perceive you? The only one who has to live with your decisions is YOU!

LOL! I would probably echo that sentiment if I was a part of it. I decided long ago that I'd rather be dead than suffer the indignity so I'm not a victim. I'm just an observer looking on with horror.
