Hi
Can anyone confirm, this issue is on his xfce also?
No problem here with my xfce4-terminal in ascii. As I suspected and mentioned above the scrollbar is nearly invisible until the lines go beyond the end of the page. Then a very narrow nearly invisible gray bar only a few mm wide pops up. Clicking on it turns the clearlooks color. Move the cursor away and it's invisible again. It's yet another GTK3 annoyance. There are also several scrollbar options in Preferences so make sure it's not disabled there.
I've studied your post several times in order to try and figure out what you're saying...I also pride myself (at times) for being a puzzle-deducer...I also try to put myself in other's "shoes" in order to gain a better understanding of where they're coming from...however...
I don't have a clue what you're saying here! LOLOLOLOL!!!
The little bit I've played with ascii I've noticed that the scrollbar on some GTK3 apps (synaptic for one) is rather hidden and very thin even when it does appear. So try playing with your mouse to see if that's the problem in your case.
It sounds like the window could be getting accidentally "shaded" via a mouse action.
As I recall, double left clicking or scrolling the scroll wheel on the window title bar causes the window to roll/up down. You could also temporarily switch to window decorations which support the shade button for a while and see how it goes.
Yes, there is no action button in the title bar but Clearlooks-Phenix-Purpy does shade with the scroll wheel and you might have accidentally done that.

As for everything else . . . I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say.
Last time I chose a mirror during installation
When I install Devuan (during the installation, not before), I am prompted to choose a mirror to get additional packages. So you advise me to use:
- pkgmaster.devuan.org
- auto.mirror.devuan.org
Use one or the other. For jessie, auto.mirror.devuan.org is fine. For more complete mirrors (including the file descriptions) use pkgmaster. Note that the mirrors are not yet integrated into pkgmaster.
I don't remember exactly but I think we have to choose a location (country) before selecting the mirror. In which country(ies) are these 2 mirrors located?
Sorry, can't help you there. Haven't installed using the Debian installer in a very long time. I'm guessing the default would still be auto.mirror.
I am confused by your question. The distribution mirrors serve all the available isos including the DVD. Or are you perhaps talking about the package mirrors which serve repositories merged by amprolla3 at pkgmaster.devuan.org? For now, just use the latter or auto.mirror.devuan.org as the additional package mirrors have not yet been fully integrated into Devuan's delivery system. You also might want to post your sources.list here.
I don't know whether GoLinux is an actual developer or does everything else, like running this forum, and tolerating my big mouth.
Just what is an 'actual developer' and what is 'everything else'? Are you really that clueless what it takes to do what Devuan is trying to do? And please golinux - all lower case . . .
As to amprolla3 and the mirrors . . . as fsmithred noted, how those mirrors will be integrated into Devuan's delivery system is still in process.
@Miyo . . . do you have screenies of your themes anywhere? And what desktops are they for?
Dev1galaxy doesn't seem to have any of this, and the forum works just fine with scripts off. Try reading an article in NYT or Guardian, and see how many sites are on to you.

I just noticed a very slight color variation in the Adwaita theme's color in Ascii. Strange.
OT . . . I can really relate to this. Trying to theme ascii and there is a significant color variation between the image in the viewer/editor and as the desktop wallpaper even on jessie. I have no idea what's going on . . .
Whew...so it's not just me...
Well, I fixed my issue which was that I had tweaked the brightness/saturation settings for a desktop gradient. Once I reset them to default, everything returned to normal. Hope your solution is that easy. The hard part is remembering . . .

@greenjeans . . . it's possible to use apulse.
Well, I have 23 addons. Many of them help to put FF back like it was before Mozilla screwed the pooch. Without them, being online would really, really suck.
And I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you . . . FF without the addons I've been using for years is a non-starter regardless of how fast it supposedly is. My old FF is pretty snappy so had no complaints about speed before. The biggest annoyance I have is that it's a memory hog and needs to be reloaded regularly.
@Golinux
Fsmithred is right, I used the wrong thread where the openrc ascii iso is mentioned to add my excitment of getting it to work after a gfx glitch. Would you be kind enough to clip the messages from https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?pid=6252#p6252 onwards (mine at least) and bring them to this thread which seems more appropriate?
There is a way to split a thread and start a new post but I can't find a way to merge posts into another thread. I suggest you repost your comments in a more appropriate place and then delete the posts in this thread. I can delete them if you are unable to do so but I will need the exact post #s. I gave up trying to follow your experiments closely long ago so really not able to sort this on my own . . .
Have you looked in devuan backports?
Silence is golden.
(golinux runs silent and deep . . .)
Good morning toddler . . .
Yawn . . .
1. Reinstall the meta package and you 'should' get everything back.
2. Reinstall xfce without the meta package and just add the pkgs you want.
Dear Dev1rs,
just to let you know that the maintenance has been completed
successfully. Please notice that the service git.devuan.org is now
reachable at the following IP:
5.196.38.17
The first time you connect via git, ssh will issue a warning saying
that it will add the aforementioned IP to the list of known
hosts. That is normal.

@cynwulf . . . You two are a perfect match. Have at it. I am not anti-fungal. All these rantings are just irrelevant (to me).
