There is no war zone except in your hate-filled mind.

Good grief.   I censored nothing only removed outdated, irrelevant information.  I politely suggested where to go to get the most accurate answers to your questions.  Why does everything have to be an explosive confrontation with you?

Have you never looked at the footer of the website?

Devuan is a registered trademark of the Dyne.org foundation.

The first post is no longer relevant so will be removed or rewritten.  [DONE]

This section is for communities to gather in their native languages.

Your post is out of place here.  Please address all Devuan trademark questions to Dyne and other trademark issues to their respective owners.   Any derivative discussion can go under the Derivatives forum.

This should clarify another one of your questions.

<KatolaZ> this is a fact
<KatolaZ> that figos does not even mention devuan
<KatolaZ> so it can't be considered a devuan derivative
<KatolaZ> fullstop
<KatolaZ> end of discussion

I have never ventured into Tomb territory.  It might suit your purposes if you put a little effort into it and is an "in house" solution.

Nope, it didn't.  It's sitting on my desktop.

Ha!  They're going to make me download it!!

View Raw

(Sorry about that, but we can’t show files that are this big right now.)

Thanks for doing that.  Watched the whole thing. That was just what I was looking for.  Well done!  Unfortunately, it went by in quadruple speed!   If that was in real time, you must have some roadrunner genes!!!

#2608 Re: Intergalactic Communities » Documentation in Portuguese » 2018-05-20 23:05:02

Nice to see you pekman.  I noticed the sites you set up are no longer available.  sad

#2609 Re: Devuan Derivatives » crunkbong is looking for testers » 2018-05-20 05:56:05

fig, it might have been "cleaner" to start a new thread about your stuff where it could grow and just link to it here.  Maybe you'd consider doing that so it doesn't get all mixed up in the crunkbong discussion . . .

#2610 Re: Installation » Manual Install Lightdm Polkit Problem » 2018-05-18 21:46:01

@fsmithred . . . would be a good idea to have a thread here listing backend combos needed for each desktop that we could link to.

#2611 Re: Installation » Manual Install Lightdm Polkit Problem » 2018-05-18 21:32:32

This comment is from our last meet.  Someone else reported a similar problem with KDE:

(KatolaZ) Installation of the correct set of polkit stuff is guaranteed only through task-*-desktop

We should probably list somewhere exactly what packages are needed for which desktop.

Yes, I know that. When sda6 became sda5, I still had to resize it to get the unallocated space merged into the partition.

Exactly.   Happy to hear you got that worked out.

I'm not assuming, I'm going off of past experience. It did when I was triple booting and deleted the middle partition, sda5. Then sda6 became sda5 (my current sda5).

The drive numbering and size/location of the partition on the disk are two different things.

#2615 Re: DIY » Tips for using Palemoon » 2018-05-18 04:16:42

I will add here for the record that fsmithred's firemenu is a simple text dialog option to firejail that uses yad iirc.

#2619 Re: Hardware & System Configuration » i need help with some packages (SOLVED) » 2018-05-17 02:34:17

I just checked and I don't have linux-headers-generic available in jessie or ASCII.  There are plenty of linux-headers-* for various kernels and pae etc.  Maybe you need linux-headers-common?

#2622 Re: Forum Feedback » The sound of one hand clapping » 2018-05-15 17:32:41

@figdev . . . Back in 2016-11-24, I posted this thread - https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=98 - to give users an opportunity to investigate and comment on figos.  Question . . . if no one walks through an open door, does anyone get to the other side?  If there had been ANY response we would likely not be where we are today.   It seems the only one interested in promoting your derivative is YOU.  But now you can blame users of this forum for treating you unfairly too.

#2623 Re: Forum Feedback » The sound of one hand clapping » 2018-05-15 14:38:20

@figdev . . . if you keep picking a scab, it will never heal.

@KatolaZ . . . a looong story . . .

#2624 Re: Devuan Derivatives » Any Devuan-based distros that use Debian's original installer? » 2018-05-15 02:54:03

I think maybe without non-free and contrib options + a truly libre kernel

Yeah.  That's what I meant.

heres a screencap of the default desktop environment in crunkbong (i added leafpad)

Thanks.  But I was wanting to see the first boot default without "personalization".  Oh well, my fault for not being clear about it . . .
